Tories line up for libel battle with the Times

Michael Howard is taking a tough line against the Times for allegedly defaming his campaign director. Still not impressed with a labour campaign poster placing his head on a pig, Howard is hitting back over a report that claimed Lynton Crosby had said the election was lost before it even started. Not the news you want to hear as party leader but did publishing the suggestion amount to defamation? This could be harder to prove.
